Nowadays Emails are highly popular on the Internet. It provides a fast and secure medium for sending messages and information, it allows us to collaborate with others and help us to send and get files or documents from others. There have been many changes to email as it evolved from its original start as a communications tool for university academics. The first emails can be found on computers of MIT back from 1965, in a program ‘Mailbox’. The US Department of Defense implemented ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) in 1969. On October 29th, 1969, the first message was sent from computer to computer on ARPANET. In 1971, Ray Tomlinson invented and developed the electronic mail. By 1993 the word ‘electronic mail’ had been replaced by “email” in the lexicon and on the internet. Over the next few years, America Online (AOL), Echomail, Hotmail and Yahoo email services launched. Now, over 2.6 billion active users and over 4.6 billion email accounts in operation, Email has become an indispensable part of our daily activities in nearly all aspects of communication.
