Google search doesn’t need any introduction, the giant search engine. Use these tips to find useful information on Google.

Dictionary
Do you want to know to mean about certain words? Put define in front of any word to see its definition. For example, ‘define technology’.

Calculator
You can use Google as your online calculator. Enter a math equation like 55*445, or solve complex graphing equations. Currently, you can perform arithmetic, functions, value of physical constants, base, and representative conversion.

Unit conversions
To convert units, enter any conversion, like 25 dollars in euros. Currently, you can perform conversions in temperature, length, mass, speed, volume, area, fuel consumption, Time and digital storage.

Quick Information
Search for the name of a celebrity, location, movie, or song to find related information. For example, ‘Warren Buffett’.

Search a Website
To search inside a website, search site:websitename.com. For example, ‘site:nytimes.com’. You can go deep into the website by searching specific topic like, ‘gadgets site:nytimes.com’. To search in YouTube use ‘site:’ in front of the site or the domain. For example, ‘site:youtube.com’

Social media Search
Put @ in front of a word to search social media. For example ‘@twitter’.

Exclude words from your search
Use – in front of a word you want to leave out. For example, jaguar speed -car

Search for an exact match
To get an exact match in results, use word or phrase inside quotes. For example, “tallest building”.

Search for related sites
Use “related:” in front of a web address that you want to find related websites. For example, related:time.com.

Check Google’s cached version of a site
Sometimes a site or a page is not available at this time due to several factors, but you want to see the site or page. Don’t worry, use ‘cache:’ in front of the site address.

Weather
To know the weather in your area, type ‘weather’, to display weather information in your area (courtesy of The Weather Channel). If you want to know weather information about another place use Zip code or the city name followed by ‘weather. For example ‘weather Hongkong’.

Stock Quotes
Enter any publicly traded company’s ticker symbol to get real-time price information on that company, For example, ‘GOOG’ (for Alphabet), or ‘AMZN’ (for Amazon).

Travel Attractions
If you are going to somewhere and want to know places of interest nearby. Google has a solution for it, just search the city name with attractions to display local attractions with relevant images. Clicking ‘More things to do’ will open up a map of the area with attractions marked on the map. For example ‘Newyork attractions’.

Time, sunset and sunrise
Use the keyword ‘time’ to show the current time on your computer, Google shows the local time based on your IP address. To know the time in another location, enter ‘time location’, you can use city name, zip code or postal code with time to know the current time at the particular location. The same way you can search for ‘Sunset’ and ‘Sunrise’ time.

Search Filetypes
You can use the ‘filetype:’ qualifier to search for a specific type of file. To find pdf files use ‘filetype:pdf‘ with your keyword.
